Additives for Nickel Electroplating

BTC Europe offers for the industry of metal finishing various additives. Electroplating also known as galvanizing, is a major process within that industry. Such a process is used to improve the appearance of surfaces using chemical processes including nickel plating, gold plating and chrome coating. Metals are coated with materials such as zinc, nickel, chrome, gold, silver, platinum, tin, aluminium, and copper depending on applications and their finishing properties. Nickel plating is a common process and provides decorative appearance due to its ability to cover imperfections in the surface of the basis metal, known as levelling. In addition, by applying multi-layers of nickel, corrosion protection will be enhanced. BTC Europe offers for the nickel plating process various products under the tradename Golpanol®. Golpanol® products are special additives for nickel plating. They are used besides others for decorative applications. In chrome plating the chrome layer itself is very thin. The subjacent level is nickel as the primer layer providing brightness.
