Synthetic Fibres
Dispersions for synthetic fibers
The demands on nonwovens made of synthetic fibers vary greatly depending on the areas of application. In the construction and textile industries, or even in the medical field, the materials must be tear-resistant, water-repellent, flexible, lightweight, soft or absorbent. Binders used to produce high-performance PET substrates are the basis for the development of modern roofing membranes. Nonwoven materials are also indispensable for diapers, hygiene products or household towels. In the clothing industry, they ensure that suits and coats stay in shape permanently. With the help of our binder systems, which are sold under the brand names Acronal®, Styrofan® and Saduren®, the properties required for each end product can be adapted accordingly. Properties BTC's Acronal® products with acrylic and styrene-acrylic dispersions include both self-crosslinking and non-self-crosslinking dispersions. Saduren® is a melamine-formaldehyde resin. Styrofan® grades are styrene/butadiene dispersions. Emuldur® grades are polyurethane dispersions.
The BTC products Acronal®, Styrofan® and Emuldur® give nonwoven materials made of synthetic fibers their extraordinary and versatile functional properties. Our binders provide top performance for a wide range of applications such as apparel interlinings, caps and insoles for footwear, medical nonwovens, roofing membranes, technical nonwovens, household towels, diapers, hygiene products and nonwovens for the construction industry.
