EU regulatory
The ECHA’s Member State Committee agreed with the identification of cyclosiloxanes (D4, D5, D6) as substances of very high concern (SVHC). Restriction in rinse-off cosmetics comprising D4 and D5 (in conc. > = 0.1%) will come into effect in February 2020 due to PBT* (D4) and vPvB** (D5) properties. In addition, ECHA proposed a revision of the scope of this restriction including D6 and leave on cosmetics.
