Emulsifiers
An emulsifier is a type of surfactant typically used to keep emulsion(mixtures of immiscible fluids) well dispersed. Emulsifiers typically have a hydrophobic (water-hating) and a hydrophilic (water-liking) end. They can be used for the manufacture of water-in-oil emulsion preparations. They provide excellent emulsion stabilization, thickening effects, excellent skin compatibility, and making the skin feel smoother. O/W emulsifiers enable the formation of stable oil in water mixtures and stable water in oil mixtures that are used in many personal care products including facial care, body care, sun care and decorative cosmetic products.
